Our History

Semmes & Co Builders was started by Turko Semmes  in 1978 as a small construction company focused on building passive solar homes. By bringing together many local craftsmen, we began building very unique energy efficient homes. As we grew, we also did some commercial construction projects, wineries, a medium size school, spec houses, and over 200 new homes and remodels.

We have now grown into a company of over 20 employees dedicated to a high quality and service oriented building process with a focus on sustainable building practices. Since implementing a plan to train the next generation of trades' people, we have watched our employees expand their abilities as well. We plan to continue to grow and provide an even higher level of quality while expanding on our green building services.
