This house started out as a rather outdated ranch house and ended as a piece of modern art. The extensive remodel was accomplished in three phases. During phase one, the owners actually moved out and allowed us to completely gut and remake the kitchen, dining room and laundry room. Colored and textured hard surfaces such as stainless steel, glass, Corian and soapstone give the home a bright, contemporary look. Phase two remade the entry, living room and family room. The front wall became twenty feet of glass panels and doors. Douglas fir paneling and built in benches were added to span the living room through the glass wall to the outside entry. The outside entry area was landscaped with large boulders and a stunning red concrete block wall, which, with the addition of large sliding fiberglass panels, affords sunlight, space, and privacy from the street. The third phase remodeled bathrooms with glass tile, glass countertops, and contemporary lighting. This house truly became a creative and unique work of art.
